‘Genesis Fitness’ is a health and fitness concept where exercise and the great outdoors go hand in hand.
Established by Emma Stanworth in 2007, ‘Genesis Fitness’ is a unique training provider whose company ethos is that of service excellence, personalization and continued education.
We provide a wide range of fitness services and cater for complete beginners through to marathon runners. Each session contains a carefully designed programme devised to empower individuals, whatever their age, ability, size or shape in order to improve their health, happiness and well being.
Invigorating exercise combinations will not only increase your fitness and improve your body shape, but will also make you feel mentally and physically energised, look and feel healthier and reduce stress levels.

Individual programmes for individual people…
‘Genesis Fitness’ offers Personal Training to everyone from complete beginners / pregnant women / regular exercisers / through to the super fit. Every programme for every client is created from scratch with each session being tailor made in order to assist you in reaching your unique goals.
Sessions may include:
- Postural Corrective Therapy - to promote positive well being, improve confidence and to aid pain relief.

Functional Training - our programmes will change the way you look and improve how you move in your daily life.
- Cardio-Vascular Training - to work towards improved stamina and endurance in a variety ways, from walking through to dancing.
- Nutritional Advice - to assist you in attaining your goals and achieving a healthier lifestyle.
- Body Conditioning - to strengthen and tone your entire body physique via the use of body weight and free weights.
- Motor Fitness Training - to improve your mental agility, balance, co-ordination and reaction time.

One-to-one training can be done in the comfort of your own home or garden or in a local park to add a fresh and invigorating element to your personal programme.

‘Genesis Fitness’ offers the very best selection of classes combined with an instructor who will guide you through motivational, energetic and relaxing sessions to enhance your health and well being.
Examples of these classes are:

Again these sessions are devised to accommodate all levels of fitness and ability, offering encouragement to those who want to be pushed, and support to those who wish to exercise at a steadier pace. The studio set up also naturally provides an animated and social atmosphere in which to increase your fitness and improve your physique.
These classes will be continually updated and rotated in order to provide you with both physical challenges and mental stimulation. All sessions will also be performed to specifically chosen invigorating music, ranging from Latin Dance to Motown to the latest hits.

2. All forms and payment can be submitted either in advance by post, or on the day, prior to the session. The trainer at each session will also always have spare forms with them.

F.A.Q (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
1. What clothing should I wear for the outdoor workouts?
It is best to wear layers of clothing for these classes so that you are always prepared for the ever changing British weather. Trainers are essential, as is a bottle of water and a light waterproof. Please limit the amount of personal belongings you carry with you to essentials, and these are best kept in a small drawstring bag or rucksack. In colder weather you may also wish to bring a warm head covering and a pair of gloves.
2. What clothing should I wear for the studio workouts’?
Again, layers are a good idea as your body temperature will change throughout the class. Trainers are essential, as is a bottle of water. Please also bring either you own mat, if you have one, or a large towel for stretching and relaxation.
3. Does ‘Genesis Fitness’ provide workouts throughout the year?
Personal Training will run throughout the year, seven days a week. All of the group classes will run throughout the year, with the following exceptions:
4. Do the outdoor workouts go ahead whatever the weather?
These classes will happen in all weather conditions, so we ask that you dress accordingly for your own comfort. The only exception to this is in extreme conditions, such as thunder and lightening, when participant’s safety may be at risk. If in doubt please phone or text ‘Genesis Fitness’ on the day.
5. When do I have to submit my various health forms by? (see ‘Bookings’ page)
All the relevant forms must have been checked in advance of starting any programme with ‘Genesis Fitness’. If possible, it is best that this be done before the first day of training, particularly if you have any queries, so that there are no hold ups or disappointments at your first training session. If this is not possible then forms must be submitted to the instructor at the initial session, prior to the booked time. If you have any questions regarding your forms, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

I trained originally as a classical ballet dancer at The Royal Ballet School and appeared in productions at The Royal Opera House including ‘The Nutcracker Suite’ and ‘William Tell’.
I went on to study musical theatre and had a successful career. I was a member of the original cast of ‘Saturday Night Fever’ at the London Palladium and also featured on the original soundtrack of the production. My other credits include ‘The Prince’s Trust Gala’ at Hyde Park, music videos, theatre productions and a variety of television and film work.
In 1999 I chose to combine my theatrical skills with a passion for travel, and joined P&O Cruises. Over a seven year period I worked on a number of their prestigious cruise liners, initially as Dance Captain and then following promotion as Assistant Cruise Director and eventually Assistant Choreographer
It was in 2007 that I made the decision to expand on my knowledge, gain further certifications and start a new career in the fitness industry.

I felt that by combining my dance expertise, fitness knowledge, my love of the outdoors and my passion for teaching I could offer an exclusive health and fitness concept.

6. If I am pregnant or hve recently had a baby do I need to fill out any additional health forms?
Yes you do, and details of these can be found on the ‘Bookings’ page of this website.
7. Does ‘Genesis Fitness’ provide childcare facilities?
Childcare facilities are not provided, and parents are responsible for their children at all times when they attend any of the workouts.
8. Can I share a Personal Training session with my partner or friends?
Yes indeed. Again this option is available in you own home or local park, and prices of these sessions are detailed on the ‘Price List’ page if this website.
